Since 2012 Samantha has worked extensively in theatre productions, most prolifically at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon. With them she has appeared in over twenty productions and enjoyed nationwide/world tours, and particularly thrives in onstage settings where the musicians are highly visible or integrated into the production. She also immensely enjoys learning new instruments, such as the Stroh-Violin, and was featured onstage in one production playing a Welsh Harp. Several shows featuring Samantha have been broadcast live to cinemas across the world and subsequently releaed on DVD. Outside the RSC she has worked with composer Grant Olding on a production of Bartholomew Fair at the Sam Wannamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare's Globe, and with musical director Tarek Merchant on an intimate production of Sweeney Todd at Liverpool Everyman, scored for just four musicians. Notable work with the RSC has included the King and Country History Cycle tour to China/Hong Kong/New York in 2016 with music by Paul Englishby, a brand new musical by Sam Kenyon about the life of renowned theatre pioneer Joan Littlewood, and an atmospheric recurring production A Christmas Carol with music by Catherine Jayes in which Samantha appeared as violinist Mrs Touchnote. Other on-stage appearances have included a soldier, first world war nurse and even a monkey...
